Why we left the United Methodist ?
It can be said the differences that led to the disaffiliation (leaving) boil down to “a scripturally based disagreement related to homosexuality, specifically whether to ordain homosexuals as ministers, practicing homosexuals as ministers, and whether to allow homosexual marriages to be performed by clergy and happen in our sanctuaries. But what it really boils down to is the authority of scripture.
We at Quaker Road believe the essential tenant of the Historic Christian Faith that Scripture is God breathed. it is in fact infallible and should be the final word for Christian practice. We know God via
His word speaks clearly against these practices, Further whether we understand His reasons or not
His Word is the FINAL Word!
So, if you feel disillusioned or betrayed
by the UMC. or any other Church that
have abandoned the belief in the authority
of Scripture. If you feel they no longer
align with your Christian beliefs, Rest
assured you would find yourself among
welcoming kindred spirits at
the new Quaker Road Church , Come Join US!

is true to God's Word, Praise Him and Pray
your Church will hold fast to His Word.
